As a dedicated therapist, my primary goal is to create a safe and welcoming environment where my clients can discuss their mental health concerns and work towards achieving their goals. I am deeply committed to normalizing conversations around mental wellness and believe that everyone deserves access to effective and compassionate care.
My experiences lies in working with individuals who have experienced trauma or severe life stressors. I have a great passion for helping these individuals find healing through evidence-based approaches such as psychoeducation, Trauma focused therapy,Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational interviewing, Person-centered therapy, and Islamically-integrated psychotherapy, and solution-focused therapy. My approach to therapy is personalized and tailored to the unique needs of each client. I work with adolescents, adults, Muslim, African American, immigrants, and individuals from diverse backgrounds to help them find healthy perceptions of themselves and strengthen their relationships. I believe that every person has the potential for growth and transformation, and I am committed to helping my clients achieve their goals. In addition to evidence-based therapy, I also encourage my clients to adopt a holistic approach to their health and wellness. This includes incorporating exercise, proper sleep and nutrition, spiritual practices, nurturing relationships, and engaging in activities they enjoy. I believe that true healing involves addressing all aspects of a person's life, and I work with my clients to develop a plan that addresses their physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. My educational background includes a Master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Saint Mary’s University of Minnesota and a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Augsburg University. With this foundation, I have developed a strong understanding of human behavior and the most effective techniques for facilitating healing and growth. |
