Kaltun Abdikarani, M.S.E
Practicing under supervision of Kelsey McCarston, MSW, LICSW
Hi, I’m Kaltun Abdikarani, a pre-licensed therapist dedicated to helping you break free from feeling stuck and live a life that feels purposeful and fulfilling. My goal is to create a safe and compassionate space where you can heal from trauma, navigate life’s challenges, and move forward with confidence.
I take a holistic approach to therapy, meaning we’ll explore not just the issue at hand, but the full picture of your life—mind, body, and spirit. Therapy with me is a collaborative process, rooted in connection and tailored to your unique journey of healing and growth. I draw on a variety of proven therapeutic techniques like EMDR, CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Islamically Integrated Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy to help you find practical solutions and lasting change. My areas of focus include, but aren’t limited to, depression, anxiety, and trauma. Ultimately, I’m here to help you find deeper meaning in your experiences and develop the skills to thrive in every area of your life. I’m especially passionate about Islamic Psychology and hold a diploma in the field from the Cambridge Muslim College. Additionally, I earned a Master’s of Science in Counseling from the University of Wisconsin-River Falls, and I hold dual bachelor’s degrees in Marketing from Ohio State University and Islamic Studies from AlMaghrib Institute. Outside of work, you can find me reading, swimming, enjoying nature, and cherishing time with my two children. |
