Welcome! I’m glad you’re here today and taking a step forward for your mental health. I hope/work to provide a space for clients to feel heard, understood, and accepted as their authentic selves. I value excellence and quality of care. It’s important for me to build trust and rapport with clients in order to co-create a thoughtful, collaborative approach to healing and wellness.
My work centers holistic counseling practices and comes from a lens of social justice. I also use an integrative approach to theories and treatment including trauma-focused therapy, person-centered theory, emotionally-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing. I’m trained in Brainspotting Therapy, which is a novel, research-backed treatment that combines aspects of EMDR, mindfulness, and brain and body-based therapies. My areas of interest include but are not limited to: intersectional identity development, individual trauma, racial trauma, interpersonal processes, anxiety, depression, emotional regulation, self-care, and navigating life challenges and transitions overall. Before joining The Luminous Mind, I worked in higher education, supporting students with academic challenges, navigating institutional barriers and access to services, exploring educational abroad/away opportunities, and providing counseling services. When not at work, I enjoy time with my family and friends. I also love exploring nature, new places, and new foods! When the opportunity arises, I love to travel domestically and internationally. Thank you for considering me as a collaborator in your healing journey within therapy. |
