Welcome! Glad you made it - seeking therapy can require a great deal of courage and effort, whether it’s your first experience or you’ve done this before and are trying to find a good fit. I recognize that effort, and I’m here to collaborate with you on shaping the course of therapy by working on goals that align with your values and vision for your life.
My goals in our work together are to be a person you can talk to about anything you need to; for you to have the utmost confidence that I will actively listen and hold a nonjudgmental stance; and to offer skilled, professional support in a variety of ways. I work to always consider what larger societal forces are at play and how oppression may be affecting aspects of your life. I find meaning in noticing the things in life that sparkle and shimmer and increase our joy. My approach as a provider is based in existential psychotherapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and I hold to person-centered, strengths-based, and antiracist principles. I am a pre-licensed therapist on track to become a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) and received my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from the University of St. Thomas. I work with adolescents (14+) and adults who deal with ADHD, anxiety, depression, emotional dysregulation, bipolar disorder, and trauma. I find particular meaning in working with LGBTQ+ folks, whether the content of therapy revolves around queer or trans identity or my client needs someone who understands queerness so that they don’t have to explain their identity or pronouns in great depth and can move forward in processing other needs. |
