Dr. Steve Costello, PsyD is a postdoctoral fellow at The Luminous Mind. He earned his doctoral degree at William Paterson University. Dr. Costello provides psychological therapy and assessment services to adults with wide-ranging mental health concerns. His therapeutic approach draws from cognitive behavioral and narrative frameworks, and he works collaboratively with clients to help them reduce distress, increase self-understanding, and pursue valued living. His practice is trauma-informed and centered on creating a safe, inclusive, and empathetic environment, where each individual's personal experiences and identities are affirmed and valued. He specializes in matters relating to anxiety, mood, and identity development. Outside of work, Steve enjoys eating at new restaurants, reading fantasy books, and playing ping pong. He believes in the power of balance and finding joy in everyday moments.
